Decode SourceGuardian-encoded PHP files online

SourceGuardian is the older sibling of IonCube — a commercial PHP encoder that compiles source into an encrypted bytecode format. Running a SourceGuardian file requires the SourceGuardian Loader extension on the server, which makes these files just as opaque as IonCube files if you need the underlying source.

DecodePHP decodes SourceGuardian files alongside IonCube, using the same upload-preview-buy workflow. The output is clean, readable PHP source that runs without the SourceGuardian Loader.

SourceGuardian vs. IonCube

  • Adoption. IonCube is more widely used, but SourceGuardian has a long tail of legacy and niche commercial scripts — particularly European billing systems and some WHMCS modules.
  • Obfuscation scheme. Different from IonCube. A decoder built for one cannot read the other's output.
  • Loader. SourceGuardian requires its own loader extension, not IonCube's.
  • License locking. Both support domain/IP/MAC locking. DecodePHP strips these during decoding.
