.php files encrypted with IonCube

Start with your PHP file. If another file is needed, we'll show you what's missing. Maximum 10MB.

Only upload files you own, are authorized to analyze, or are lawfully permitted to recover, migrate, audit, or interoperate with. Do not upload third-party proprietary software without permission. This ordinary public preview does not use AI-assisted callback recovery; charged, trusted-account, and approved trusted-partner recovery may send supplied context and relevant decoded fragments to our configured third-party model provider. IonCube 14 — technical deep dive

Release era
2022 – 2023 (PHP 8.2/8.3 parity)
PHP targets
DecodePHP accepts recognized compatible targets on PHP 7.1–7.4 and 8.1–8.3; PHP 8.0 is excluded.

File signature

An IonCube 14-encoded PHP file opens with a header that looks like:

<?php //004fb4a5\n<?php //PHP82+
HR+cPkX...

Encryption scheme

IonCube 14 retained the 13-series encryption scheme while adding per-section key rotation — different portions of the encoded file are decrypted with different key fragments, increasing the work needed to reverse-engineer a full file offline.

Obfuscation techniques IonCube 14 uses

  • Readonly class (8.2) detection and appropriate opcode emission
  • DNF (disjoint normal form) type expression obfuscation
  • Typed class constant support (8.3) — constants now carry a hidden type-check opcode
  • #[Override] attribute preserved as a hidden metadata field

Anti-tamper

Per-section key rotation is itself an anti-tamper: sections must be decrypted in order, and skipping any section breaks the key chain for subsequent sections.

Where this version sits in the IonCube timeline

Mid-cycle release — bigger than 13 (first 8.x) but smaller than 15 (which added 8.4). Still widely used in 2026.

Where you typically see IonCube 14 files

  • Production PHP 8.2 and 8.3 commercial scripts
  • Re-encoded WHMCS 8.x modules
  • New Laravel-based paid scripts shipped in 2023–2024

Decoding IonCube 14

DecodePHP sends recognized IonCube 14 files to the Phoenix decoder in an isolated microVM and lifts recovered opcodes to readable PHP. Some files require a matching license, an ordinary companion file, or callback implementation and runtime context. Eligible files get a free 20-line preview. Charged callback-key recovery may use our configured third-party model provider and reports a blocker unless it produces a complete result with no protected sections left.
